Hallmarked sterling silver candle smoked Mother of Pearl brooch set with Garnet. **ONE ONLY**

These candle smoked Mother of Pearl brooches are really unique and very, very collectable. They are created by holding the Mother of Pearl over a lit candle until the smoke has made it completely black. The smoke is then painstakingly and very carefully scraped off to create the stunning pictures that you see here. After the image has been created it is then given 2 coats of a special laquer which protects the image forever. As far as we are aware there is only one artist in the UK doing this sort of work and we consider that we are lucky to have these in our shop.
